Sermons About King
You're Invited
The parable we're looking at this weekend is one of the last few Jesus told in the days just before His crucifixion. The atmosphere around Jerusalem is charged with tension as the confrontations between Jesus and the religious leaders of the day grow more heated. Matthew 22:45 tells us that they KNEW Jesus was talking about them! And so they were determined to destroy Him. Jesus gives them one more story ... one more invitation. In a long series of invitations that has begun with the prophets, we are invited to the king's house! The preparations have been made, the table is spread, the celebration is about to begin - and we're all invited - just one item remains - my "RSVP" - your "RSVP". The King waits for a response! Key Passage: Matthew 22:1-14

All The Kings Horses, All The Kings Men - Part 9 - The Return of the King
Jesus was born in a stable, worked as a carpenter, and had nothing resembling a life of wealth or privilege. He was scourged, spit upon, and hung on a cross---mocked by a thorny crown and a sign labeling him the King of the Jews. But don't be deceived! The King is returning and at His appearance, there will be no doubt that He was (and is) Lord, and King of all Kings!

Unmerciful Servant
Don't miss the lines from this song: "Oh the Glory of it all, is He came near. For the rescue of us all, that we may live, for the glory of it all, oh He is here. Redemption from the fall, that we may live..." That's big. Massive. Almost incomprehensible. The weight of understanding what Jesus did coming down here for us - you and me and the guy across the the row from you too. All of us. In your day to day, in your coming and going it sometimes is hard to remember, isn't it? In your problems, in your hurts, in your debts, in your debtors in can be hard to remember as well. But that doesn't mean it is any smaller. It is still glorious. You are forgiven. You are accepted. You need to frogive. You need to accept. You need to remember. Key Passage: Matthew 18:23-35

The Triumphal Entry of the King (Mark 11:1-26)
Jesus is king. He is not like us, and doesn't come as we expect. He is greater than we expect -- Lord over all. The only sane response is to approach him in faith and worship.

John 1:29-34 - This is Jesus: The Son of God (John the Baptist's Testimony - Part 3)
I have one point in this morning’s sermon. It is this: Jesus is the Spirit-anointed King, whose arrival inaugurates the new age of end-time salvation in which God’s Spirit is poured out upon his people.

Psalm 2: Good News For Rebels
We are all rebels – each and every one of us.Humanity's rebellion began with the very first human beings Adam and Eve knew God's requirements but raised their fists toward his throne. They placed themselves in the position of God and decided for themselves what was right and wrong. This was rebellion – an act of treason against their maker and king. Ever since, humanity has been in rebellion against God. The Psalmist wants to clearly state this fact: God has appointed a day when he will bring all rebellion on earth to and end!

Wake Up to a Bigger Jesus
The first in a series of talks on Revelation given over a weekend. Revelation challenges us to have a Jesus bigger than our imagination, and bigger than the Jesus of just the Gospels.
