There are passages of scriptures that we often just skim over, read, but don’t really hear or contemplate. They are filled with phrases that we have heard before and so we hear them again and move quickly to the next line that has something to catch our attention or peak our curiosity. This passage, these two short verses are one of those we tend to rush past in order to get to things we think are more important. Today we will explore these two short verses a bit, and hopefully when we are done we will have a deeper understanding of Jesus and the kingdom he proclaims, as well as the good news he preaches to us.
