Sermons About Lazarus
John 11 - I Am the Resurrection and the Life
Jesus could have healed Lazarus, but He shows that he is the resurrection and the life by miraculously bringing him back to life 4 days after he had died. Jesus is our only way to salvation, in the same way that He was the only one who could bring Lazarus to life.

I AM
Jesus made some major claims regarding who he was. The question is...could he back up those claims. Jesus made seven different "I AM" statements about himself. He said he was the bread of life, the light of the world, the Way, the Truth and the Life...He also said, " I am the Resurrection and the Life" In the Gospel of John chapter 11, Jesus makes this amazing claim and then backs up His claim with powerful action.

Pivotal Circumstances
Using the story of Lazarus, we can learn that in the midst of pivotal circumstances we need to be honest with God; remember that God cares; and remember that God has a bigger purpose. God wants to do something in us in order to accomplish something through us.

The Hope of the Hopeless
When things look hopeless there is hope. Mary, Martha and their friends could see nothing but death and defeat. In the midst of death and defeat there is victory that comes only from Christ.

Can Sickness Be The Will Of God
Can Sickness Be The Will Of God? Remember Lazarus? John 11:1-4 States: 1: Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2: (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) 3: Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. 4: When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. As verse 4 states: “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.†How many times does Jesus call us to “come out,†â€step out,†“move the stone that is keeping us from serving God.†Yet God has to place obstacles in our paths to change our direction to do his will!

Made Alive
In this message Pastor Jeremy addresses the Wiltsie Community Church regarding the resurrection of Lazarus. In this message we notice the correlation between the death and resurrection of Lazarus and the spiritual death and spiritual resurrection of our souls in salvation. We notice that we were dead, and while we were dead in our sins, Christ made us alive.
