You Do Not Have To Be An Example
If there is anything that makes us squirm, it is the Bibles admonition to be examples. Very few of us are comfortable with that because we have so many human failings. Many times, we can get by very well without being examples, but there is one place where we cannot. We are examples to our children whether we want to be or not. If you have failed in this, fear not. The Bible offers hope. Key Verses:1Tim 4:12, Titus 2:7, 1Cor 11:1, Matt 5:48, Php 3:10-14, John 15:1-4, 2Cor 7: 6-11

Abraham - led one step at the time
The Lord will lead us one step at a time. If we do not take the first step, He will not give us the second step, and on and on and on like that. We have to take the step directly in front of us. Some steps are tests, if we don’t pass the test, we don’t get to move on to the next step. We don’t get the next direction until we pass the test.

Different By Design
Men and women, created in the image of God, are equal in value, importance, significance and dignity. But in a reflection of the glorious unity and diversity of the Trinity, men and women are also created and called by God to serve in different but complementary roles. In the context of the church and family, men are called by God to lead and provide, and women are called by God to help. This calling predates mankind's fall into sin.
To say all this is barely to scratch the surface; applying this requires careful attention to God's commands and a watchfulness that we do not fall into the various temptations that beset us as men and women. But there is great joy to be found in walking out God's calling for us.
