Sermons About Leaders
Sacred Life: Titus 1.5-9, 15-16
Purity is not regarded today as a highly sought quality. So it was in the church in Crete. The churches throughout Crete were lacking in the area of purity from its members to even those given the platform to teach. The culture was polluting and contaminating the church. The church was lacking purity of doctrine and purity in living. Such purity is needed from the leaders of the church and throughout the church.

Sacred Life: Titus 1.5-6
In Paul's letter written to Titus one sees life. In fact, a sacred and holy life for a different kind of people, the church. The mission of the church is to be about making things right in a world that is wrong. Things need to be set in order. This week Paul tells Titus to start at the top. Leadership is everything. With Christ as the head leadership is crucial to the church. We need godly influence in the church. This week we will see what that influence is to look like. We all need this model and must follow it.

Priestly Duty of Prayer
This morning from our text and the previous texts I want you to see three specific requests that we should bring before the throne of grace on behalf of our leaders. 1. We should pray that our leaders will proclaim to us the full counsel of God. 2. We should pray that our leaders will live lives that are worthy of imitation. 3. We should pray that our leaders will keep close watch over our souls.

Giving and Grace
The Law no longer condemns us and it no longer curses us. Instead the law has become the way we learn what it looks like to be fully human. It is now nothing to fear, but something we learn of so that we might follow Jesus in response to His grace. The Spirit now shows you how Jesus lived up to the law instead of condemning you and convicting you in all the ways you’ve failed to live up. When you fail, you’re failing to live like who you truly are in Jesus. You’re already seen by the Father as keeping the law, there’s no need to use it to get His favor.
