Reaching and Leading
"Reaching and Leading" Romans 8:29 Andrew Bonaventura, Lead Pastor
The Spirit's Leading to the Gospel for All Nations
Paul had been going to churches that he had previously visited, but in this passage, the Spirit redirects Paul to Macedonia to preach the Gospel. The Gospel is not only for certain people, but for all people, and it is the greatest need of all people.
Leading by Example
In this sermon we see what it looks like to lead by example. Everyone leads by example, even kids. When most of us think about what this looks like we might default to an image of having it together. However, we see in Luke 7:36-47 that the Pharisee who looks to have it together is in the wrong. It is the prostitute who confesses her sin and clings to Jesus that actually sets a proper example for us. When we realize how much we have been forgiven, we can then lead like Paul commands Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12 by setting an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Leading As Jesus Would Lead
This passage reminds us that leading as Jesus would leads involves humbly spreading Kingdom influence, even in the midst of suffering.
Now Come Let Us Go
Everything God does in our lives is either leading us to Him or taking us to where He is = the Place of Promise.
Exodus 13: Following God
Just after God set the Israelites free from Egypt he lead them straight into the wilderness. At times we are lead into our own wilderness where we must learn to trust God in deeper ways.
Basic Training (Part 4)
Follow the leader. Not just a game for children but the credo of the local church. Paul, in this section of his letter to the church in Philippi, challenges the believer to consider how they are growing into maturity in the Lord.
The Provision is in the Plan
God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19) God IS our source of supply. He IS our provider. Many regard their job, their social security check, or the avenue in which they receive money as their source. Don't loose sight of Who's your provider. His desire is to reveal His plan, lead you by His Spirit into His will regarding provision. But one thing to remember: The provision is in the plan. How to find and follow that plan is revealed in the Word and by the Spirit of God. Through this teaching we learn how a dogged determination to stand on the Word without following the current leading of the Holy Spirit will profit nothing.
