Worthy
Though we may be tempted to think that we're "more special" than other people, no one is truly worthy before God -- except His Son, who, through faith, works to rebuild and reshape our lives as we journey through this world.

The Wound of Betrayal
Although we, like Judas, have betrayed Jesus who called us his friend, Jesus shows love for us by forgiving us and calling us back to his side.

Remembrance of Things to Come
The Hebrew scriptures during Lent this year focus on the faithfulness of God, who makes covenant with us. Today, we recall that God, distressed over the sinfulness of humankind, begins to regret creating it, and determines to destroy the earth and most of its people and even its animals. Only Noah and his family, and a pair of each kind of animal, will be saved to populate the world over again. It rained for 40 days, and the floodwaters covered the earth for 150 days. At the end of it, only those who were taken into the ark Noah built at God’s command are left alive.

Gear for the Journey: Ancient Paths
Part 1 of 8. In many regards, though we may never leave our homes, Lent is a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, to the upper room, the cross, and the empty tomb. On that journey and in living our faith, what we DO is as important as what we BELIEVE.

Who do you Identify with?
Pastor Scott Miller presents the second sermon in our 2009 Journey to the Cross. Over the next six weeks, Pastor Scott and the WCC staff will be preaching from Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Lent - 40 Days with Jesus in the Wilderness
During the 40 days of Lent, we reflect on Jesus and his faithfulness to God the Father. Because of Jesus' faithfulness, which was evidenced by his victory over Satan in the wilderness and completed on the cross, we have a guarantee of our own salvation.
