The Equation 5
Week five of our series The Equation finds us receiving some valuable instruction from Jesus. He encourages us to put what we have learned into practice. That seems like a very basic statement, right? Then why do we find ourselves retreating back into the darkness in so many areas of our life? Jesus reminds us that a mark of a true disciple or follower of His is a change of behavior, or in other words, putting feet to our theology. As we wrap up this series we will learn what Jesus calls each of us to do to live out our faith. This is week five of the equation.

The Equation 4
Week four of our series The Equation finds us looking in on a day in the life of Jesus and His followers. On this day Jesus has a specific purpose that only one of His disciples picks up on. As they hang out in the light that Jesus gives off, Peter understands the truth or meaning of the events of this day and moves toward Jesus. Our goal as followers of the light is to respond by faith to the truth we see in this passage. This is week four of The Equation.

Equation 3
Week three of our series The Equation finds us listening in on a conversation between Jesus and a young man. This young man has a burning question that he desperately needs answered. As Jesus turns on the flood light of truth toward him, the young man discovers that the answer he receives makes him too uncomfortable and he retreats back into the darkness. Like each of us at times, when we retreat from the light we miss out on the opportunities that God has for us. This week we will discover what is needed to make a relationship with God all that it should be. This is week three of The Equation.

Out of the Salt Shaker
Matthew 5:13-16 NIV "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
