Losing My Religion - Finding Freedom
The philosophical challenge to our contemporary faith is similar to that facing the young church in Colosse, namely that we are naive to think we can limit a connectedness to God to faith in Jesus. Paul explains that the cross was a demonstration of a deep forgiveness rather than superficial indifference to our moral failings. Consequently, faith in Jesus frees us from the uncertainty of getting religion right, and invites us into the dynamic relationship with God.

Losing My Religion -Finding Jesus
Many writers tell us to lose our religion citing that religion is pointless and even harmful with the terrible things that have been done in the name of different gods. The Apostle Paul would agree. He encouraged a young church in Colossae to lose their religion by finding Jesus. Because ultimately Jesus does what no religion can do. Being firstborn among the dead, he has reconciled all things by his resurrection.
