Sermons about Love Of God
Luke 15 contains one of the most famous stories in the Bible, the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Perhaps it should be called the Parable of the Prodigal Love of God. In it we see how the gospel saves the irreligious and religious through the audacious, gracious, affectionate, forgiving, and joyful love of God.
It is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. When you get a glimpse of His goodness, you can't help but weep. Jesus can save to the uttermost ALL that come to him.
The Love of God never fails and it always pursues. God's desire is that no one should perish, but that all should come to eternal life. Have you found this love?
The Love of God never fails. Many people will let us down and fail us and we will fail them. The promise of the scriptures is that God's love is unfailing. This is the first sermon of our spring revival "Love Never Fails"
If God is For Us . . . who can be Against Us? ● God gave up His Son for us all: so God will give us all things (vs31-32) ● God justifies and Christ interceeds for us: so no one can condemn us (vs33-34) --> Trust in God’s protective provisions: and enjoy His grace in our daily lives Who shall Separate Us from the Love of God in Christ? ● We Suffer in this life for Christ: knowing that nothing can separate us from His love (vs35-36) -->Embrace God’s call to Suffering: and be comforted and empowered by the love of Jesus ● We are more than Conquerors through Him who loved us: for nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (vs37-39) --> Live Triumphantly in Christ: with the assurance of God’s inseparable love for us now and for all eternity
In this sermon Ps. Steve looks at the cross, how this act of love demonstrates just how amazing Jesus is, it will also reveal how the cross dealt with sin, fear, guilt, depression, anxiety, sickness, disease, death and poverty. We do not need to carry what he already carried at the cross.
What is Hell? How does hell relate to the justice and love of God? The biblical teaching of a final judgment is crucial for Christian living because it enables us to forgive others freely and provides a moral restraint against sin. It magnifies the justice of God in punishing evil and putting the world to right. Only against the grim and dark backdrop of divine anger can we see the glorious splendor of the Father’s love for us who would send His only Son to experience hell on our behalf.
