Sermons about Love
The way of love surpasses the most wonderful gifts.
1 John spends a good deal of time teaching us about ways to "test" our faith or our relationship with Christ. He does this, not to scare us into thinking we are going to hell, rather to reveal to a Christian the reality of salvation. Of course, if we take these tests and find that we fail, we know that John also teaches us how to make salvation a reality. Listen, as we discuss a test of love.
Timothy speaks of God's will that all men be saved, yet Ephesians talks of "predestination". Elder Justice explores the relationship and meanings attached to these theological hot buttons, and presents a clear explanation as to how they are not opposites, but clearly a part of the Lord's plan for our growth and eventualy destination.
Kennesaw United Methodist ministers to many different people in many different ways. It would be impossible for one person to organize and manage these efforts. It takes all of us working together in love to reach people for Christ. Together - We Can!
We are supposed to give freely, love extraordinarily, and forgive enthusiastically. What is preventing you from doing so? What are you holding on to?
What is the one thing that you cannot live without? Many of us would probably say, 'Jesus.' Yet, saying that he is our treasure doesn't necessary mean that in our hearts he really is. Listen as pastor Jody Sledge challenges us through the story of rich young ruler to treasure Christ in order to have eternal life, to be a faithful disciple, and to gain lasting joy.
