Are We living to Please God or men? Many times we look to those around us for assurance and hope, and peace. Man will let you down, no matter how much they try. Men's motives, thoughts, ideas change, but God remains the same. We please God, by living as Christ did. Jesus lived a life of communion and prayer, a life of submission, a life that was lived to please his father and not himself.

Jesus makes us new men and women, he fills us with the Spirit, and the divinely-designed result is a life whose orientation and actions are different than our self-centered, me-absorbed culture. The new man, with Christ at the center, lives a remarkably different life, and Colossians 3:8-11 helps us understand what this new man looks like and does.
