Kingdom Compassion (AM)
Adam continues the Beatitudes with Matt. 5:7. In contrast to popular thinking, Jesus further defines the kingdom citizen as one who has a transformed heart of compassion. Those who possess this heart are the exclusive recipients of mercy at the final judgment.

Comfort in the Midst of Suffering
These verses from Hebrews 2:5-18 provide us two reasons why we can trust in Christ in the midst of suffering because of His humanity. 1. We can trust Christ in the midst of suffering because He has already tasted death on our behalf. 2. We can trust Christ in the midst of suffering because He is our great High Priest.

The God Who Shows Mercy
We learn a lot about Yahweh, the Lord, through the experience of his reluctant prophet, Jonah. As Jonah fled we were introduced to Yahweh as the God who pursues. As Jonah sunk to his certain death we were introduced to Yahweh as the God who saves. Now as God again speaks to Jonah we are introduced to Yahweh as the God who shows mercy. Listen in as we hear more about Yahweh, the God who shows mercy both to his own people (who should know better) and to his most violent of enemies.
