The Economics of the Kingdom
In becoming humble, and submitting to the authority of Christ, we commit ourselves to engaging in the work that God has planned for us. Each follower has been given certain gifts and circumstances in their lives that can lead to opportunities for displaying the Gospel. We must become faithful stewards, striving to glorify God more with the time and resources that we have, ready to give an account to the King.
The Far Country: Living in Anticipation of the King's Return
In this parable, we see a picture of our lives, awaiting the return of our King. The citizens present a picture of those who refuse to submit to the King. But in the first two servants, we see their faithfulness with the minas the nobleman gives, and in them, we see our call to use our gifts faithfully to bear fruit.
Follow Me: Into Faithfulness
As Jesus shares the parable of the ten minas, we must take a moment and look at our own minas. Are we being faithful with what God has given us? Our families? Our spouses? Our work? Or even our salvation that God has given us?
