Revolutionary Feast
Eating is an activity all of us do. It is a basic human practice. Yet when Jesus came, He transformed the ordinary meal into an encounter with Him. He sets Himself in the midst of these meals and invites all to come and taste the grace of God. Jesus demonstrates to the world His mission through welcoming sinners at the table with Him.

God's Good All Ways
Our greatest weaknesses are God’s greatest opportunities… if we will trust him. The points of our greatest weaknesses are the points where God has his greatest opportunities to demonstrate his power…if we will demonstrate faith. We all have a tendency to measure God’s goodness, mercy, and interest in our lives according to what we see, feel, and experience. But it takes more faith to endure a no from God than to acquire a yes.

A God Who Cares: For the Sick and Afflicted
So most of us Baptists and evangelicals do safe prayers or simply ignore the sick and afflicted. And many of the sick and afflicted are left wondering if anyone really cares. Proposition: God cares greatly about the sick and afflicted. And God is a God of healing and expects us to pray for healing and care for the sick and afflicted. James gives the sick and the church some lessons about the sick and afflicted.

A Lame Man Leaps
In Acts 3:1-26 Luke recounts the first miracle ever performed by Peter and John. - the healing of a lame beggar on their way to worship at the temple. This event, which served as the foundation for Peter's second sermon, tiggered the first persecution of the early church. Peter and John saw not a beggar who needed money, but a man who's body needed to be healed and who's soul needed to be saved. This event was fulfillment of prophesy (Isaiah 35:5-6) and therefore signified that the Jews had indeed crucified their Messiah. Like the beggar, we are all born into this world unable to walk because of the disease of sin. But, like the healed beggar, if we confess our sins and repent of them we can be restored by Jesus Christ. For we were all once spiritual beggars, but have been granted the miracle of salvation, which heals us and causes radical change in us. This should serve as a platform to preach the gospel, just as it did for Peter and John.
