Lord of the Storm
Our faith is tested when we are in the midst of diffculties of the world. But Jesus Christ is Lord over the storm and as such, He ordains the duration and severity of the storms in our lives. The account of Jesus' calming of the storm on the Sea of Galilee demonstrates His unlimited power over the natural world. So, when the storms of life get rough, we ought to reflect on the words of Jesus "I have overcome the world". We therefore should put our faith in the sovereignty of the Lord Jesus over all of the circumstances in our lives. Our faith in Him can sustain us through the storms.

Understanding Our Need
On any given day, there are numerous events, situations, and encounters we witness and perceive. What we often fail to recognize is how much our view of ourself actually changes our perception of the rest of the world. As sinners, do we come to Jesus with an understanding of our own need to be healed? Or like the religious people of Jesus' day, do we treat his healing power with contempt and deny our own need to be continually healed by God?

Gods Greatest Work
In church we hear stories of great miracles and are often even taught that we should expect them. Then, we are disillusioned when they fail to appear. Why the great disconnect between what we expect and what really happens? Could it be that we have not dared to acknowledge the truth? That is, that God more often works through suffering than through triumph. Key Verses: Daniel 3, Mark 14:32-42, Mark 15:22-39, 2Cor 12:7-10, 2Cor 4:7-12, 1Peter 4:12-19
