Sermons About Miracles
The Lessons of the Sea
Let’s remember that Jesus had just finished feeding the 5,000 or rather, the 30,000 or more multitude on the hillside. From this we know Jesus was working on the faith of the disciples. The message to them was this: bring to me what little gifts and talents you have and see what I will do thru you to change the lives of people. The disciples wouldn’t realize this and understand this until after Jesus rose again and after the Holy Spirit visited them on Pentecost.

True Love Waited
Jesus' greatest miracle before His own resurrection was the resurrection of Lazarus. As we read about it in John 11 we see that even this was not enough to change the hearts of the some of the priests and pharisees. Yet Jesus in His earnest desire to communicate His power to those who would hear was punctuated by His weeping at the grave of His beloved friend. Not sorrowing as those who have no hope, but I believe grieving for those who had seen His power previously and still did not believe!

The Seeds of 5K Faith
The feeding of the 5,000 is one the most popular stories in the Bible. It’s a story we know very well. And in the writing of John’s gospel, we have to assume it’s a story that John’s readers knew very well, because it is the only miracle, besides the Resurrection, recorded in all four Gospels.

Faith or Observance of the Law
Paul continues his argument to show the Galatians that we are justified by faith, and not by works of the law (circumcision, ceremonial & moral law). He uses 3 arguments in this passage: the Galatians' own experience, Abraham's experience & the testimony of the Law. Faith rests or relies on Jesus for salvation, and receives the many blessings He has purchased for us.

When The Wine Runs Out
In this sermon Jesus and His disciples are at a wedding feast and the wine runs out. Jesus performs his first miracle by turning the water into wine. From this passage we learn that God cares about our problems no matter how small or large when we bring them to him.
