Acts 13:13-52 - Prepared and Gifted to Serve
Paul was prepared and gifted by God for his missionary journeys throughout the Roman Empire. His Roman citizenship and years as a Jewish Pharisee gave him the ability to speak to both groups of people effectively, and the Holy Spirit gifted Paul with the ability to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with power, boldness, and clarity. In the same way God has prepared and gifted each of us to contribute to the work of spreading the Gospel, and there is great joy in serving God in the way that He has prepared us to do.

Celebrating the Second Chapter
Our vision and mission clearly centers on being an authentic Acts Chapter 2 Church. We are not married to any tradition. Neither will we follow the liberal trend of minimizing the WORD OF GOD! We believe the church as God planned it is THE HOPE OF THE WORLD. My purpose this morning is to share with you five authentic pillars of an Acts Chapter Two Church and invite those of you who have come on board the past several years to be part of the second chapter of what God is doing at Maple City Chapel.

Acts 10:1-33 - Leaving Our Comfort Zones
God asked Peter to go and visit a Roman soldier to tell him about Jesus, but first Peter had to get over his aversion to interacting with people from other nations because they were ceremonially unclean. In the same way God is sending us out into the world to tell others about Him, and obeying Him will require us to get over our hang-ups, step out of our comfort zones, and sacrifice for the people around us.

Community with Purpose
God has created us for purpose bigger than ourselves. We're meant to live for something big. If we're going to see ourselves live for God's purposes in our world but we can't do it on our own, we're designed for community.

Living in the Dash
C.H. Spurgeon once said "A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you, and were helped by you, will remember you. So carve your name on hearts, and not on marble." How are you living your life? When it is all said and done...what will you have done with the talents and abilities God has given you? Key Passage: Matthew 25:14-30
