The Grace and Justice of Our God
Nehemiah’s prayer against his enemies not only raises a number of questions, but even threatens to offend many of our notions about the grace and justice of God. By taking a closer look both at Nehemiah’s prayer and at our own preconceptions about the character of God, we will seek to understand how this prayer ought to affect our lives today. At the end of this message I hope that we will have a greater appreciation both for God’s perfect justice and for his amazing grace. And I hope that our awareness of these two things will drive us out to call a world under God’s just wrath to flee to the cross where his grace can be found.

Joy to the World! The Lord is Come! (Mk 15:1-16:8)
The Jesus of Christmas was born to die. His death would make our forgiveness possible. The path to the Cross included the rejection of God's people, contradictory witnesses, sham trials, corrupt politicians, intense mocking, severe scourging, and an eerie darkness. But the ultimate result was the resurrection of the Savior as our King.
