Communion
Communion. It's a tough biblical topic. This is often due to our viewing it from a single perspective - from our history and heritage, rather that from His view - the view of His story in the Old & New Testaments, in the work of His people Israel, in & through the work of Jesus. This has led to many misunderstandings and even ruination of the original intent and purpose. We have made the symbol, too often, the purpose rather than essential value in the redemptive work of remembrance.
Glorious!
The first sermon of the Enter God series studies how the Glory of God is revealed to us through the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ.

What is Revival Really???
Revival is more than just paying some guy to lead 7 services at your church then leave.
Tabernacle: Why, How, and So What?
God is pleased to dwell with mankind. But as good news as that is, He must also erect several barriers between Himself and our lives so to protect us from being consumed by His glory. Most of us struggle with the aspects of worship and the specificity of the tabernacle. This sermon seeks to explain all of these things in an attainable fashion. And even if we could completely understand the text in Exodus 40, the question still remains...So What!???
Transition Part 50 - God's Promises are ours. God's Timing is His.

Rescuer
At the burning bush God reveals himself to Moses in his name, I AM WHO I AM. At first glance this name makes no sense, but a second look shows us the name makes complete sense. We must take the LORD on his terms. He is holy, which means he is separate from us, perfect and totally other. At the burning bush God reveals his rescue plan for Israel from their bondage in Egypt. Moses tries to resist, even to the point of making the LORD angry, but in the end he makes the costly, obedient choice and sets his sights on returning to Egypt to be the LORD's man. God as rescuer demonstrates his invasive presence, and his horizon is far past Moses. He tries to give Moses the bigger picture. We can want God on our own terms, safe, reasonable and logical, but it is his rescue plan that is going forward. It is not about us; it's about him. The LORD is our rescuer.
Good Leadership
Moses' father-in-law Jethro shows up for a visit with his family in tow. Moses hasn't seen his family for quite a while. This interchange is interesting in what it teaches us about our calling and our priorities as leaders.
