Jesus tells a story about a man, his servants and the possessions he entruts to them while he is away on a trip. But the point of the story reaches much deeper into our spiritual lives. It speaks of our view of God, our motivation to serve in the Kingdom and our understanding of the partnership we have with Jesus until he returns.
In the fast lane
"When you fast"... Jesus expected his followers to fast. He knew that this spiritual discipline was essential to our Christian life. Jesus says that the Father will reward us for what He sees in our hearts. What does He see? How does He reward? How do we fast appropriately and with the right motivation.
