The Power of Teamwork
In the third chapter of Nehemiah we are not only given a detailed account of the rebuilding of the city walls, be we see how teamwork allows comon people to attain uncomon results. The details of these verses provide a remarkable illustration of how swiftly the job was completed (52 days), which is a testament to the supurb leadership and planning that was required given that the labor force was exclusively voluntary. From this, we can learn valuable organizational principles that are glorifying to the Lord. There are three principles that should characterize the work of the Lord and the building of His kingdom by the body of Christ: 1) coordination, 2) cooperation, and 3) commendation.
