Sermons About Nehemiah
Nehemiah 5: The Road to Revival: What Does Your Life Look Like?
The Building of the wall was just part of the goal of Nehemiah. The real goal... evangelism... to tell the nations the greatness of God. The "nobles" forgot this purpose. So often in our lives we are scared to share the Good News with others. We may be afraid we won't know what to say or that we will say something wrong. But, the reality is... you could do a lot more damage to the Gospel with the way you live than with what you say or don't say. Ought we not to fear the Lord? Are you looking to serve or be served?

motion
MOTION: noun - the action or process of moving or being moved. When it comes to our lives we all want to have momentum but there will be no momentum if don't courageously get into motion. Jesus did not say to the disciples, "come and stand by me". He said, "come and follow me". Nehemiah 2:11-20 chronicles a man whom God has stirred and has been set in in motion. We must embrace with Nehemiah that our faith is meant to be active.

Ready for GOD to Move
In the C.S. Lewis book series the Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe there is a statement that is often repeated... 'Aslan is on the Move'. God is always moving whether we see it clearly or not. The question is, "Are we ready for God to Move" in us? Getting ready for God to Move is often a process involving prayer, planning and purpose. We need to be ready to submit our plans to him and embrace his vision for our lives.

Nehemiah 2 and 3: The Road to Revival: What Will You Do?
How often do we use the word "we" to describe what others do? Do we want to reap the benefits of the work of others, or are we going to be a part of the rebuilding and reviving work of God? Are you too proud to "stoop" to serve the Lord?

God's Vision for My Life
What happens when your plan for your life collides with God's plan/vision for your life? Someone must prevail, there cannot be two opposing visions living in harmony. In this amazing book of Nehemiah God will teach us to submit our plans and our lives to his vision for our lives. The process of submitting involves a lot of prayer and is harder than it sounds. May the Lord reveal his vision for us and may we respond to it appropriately.

Nehemiah (#7): Deceptive Distractions
After handling an internal struggle in the last chapter, our main man Nehemiah must once again battle against an external enemy bent on his destruction. This time though, their tactics have changed. Instead of obvious and outright opposition, they resort to deception and try to trick Nehemiah into diverting his attention. As we study Nehemiah 6, there is much to learn from Nehemiah's wisdom and how he handled the deceptive distractions to his mission.

Nehemiah 1 and 2: The Road to Revival: What's Your Calling
Those who desire revival can learn from Nehemiah's desire to know and follow God's will? Wouldn't it be nice to know God's calling... but wouldn't it be even nicer to follow faithfully? How can we recognize God's calling, the twofold calling of God for His children?
