Sermons about New Life
Bob Griffin is an elder of New Life Christian Church. The thought of a "New Year" is appealing to many: resolutions, making it better, hope, etc. How much more ought a "New Life" appeal to us? Bob's main scripture text is Acts 5:20 "Go stand in the Temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life." What is this new life? What did Jesus say about it, what did the apostles say, and how did the people respond? Briefly looking at nine examples of conversion from the book of Acts, it is easy to see the consistency in their message and method. Is our message the same today and do/should people respond the same way today as they did nearly 2000 years ago? You decide. [Bob Griffin]
