Faithful Abraham
Abraham was blessed by God, he wasn’t trying to be blessed, he was blessed. He wasn’t trying to earn it. God knew he would be faithful to do what He called him to do. Abraham was faithful to obey the Lord. As he obeyed in each step, he walked more and more in that Blessing. The blessing of Abraham is ours, by faith.

Take Up Your Cross and Live
The cross is a symbol of suffering and death. And when Jesus asked His disciples to take up their crosses in Matthew 16:24, thoughts of difficulty, danger, and even death might have entered their minds having witnessed the Roman practice of crucifixion. In the context of this passage, the cross is clearly referring to Jesus’ own proclamation of His impending suffering and death—His main mission that the disciples had not yet realized at the time. Don’t think one moment that Jesus is asking you to die the death that He already ‘died’ for you. Instead, He asks you to deny yourself or give total control of your life over to Him. To take up your own cross is to actually live—in a different way—a life of willing obedience and surrender to His lordship.

Gideon: Mighty man of valor
Summary: Gideon was a man called of God to do great things. He thought so little of himself, and was so filled with doubt and unbelief, but God was patient with him. He was still them man for the job, in spite of his weaknesses. God had a big plan, that he accomplished through a small group of men. (their army went from 22,000 to 300) God had a specific plan that they had to follow in order to be victorious. Ultimately, because he obeyed the plan God gave him, he became what God knew he was all along, the “Mighty Man of Valor”. If we will obey God like Gideon did, even when the plan sounds crazy, we will become what God desires and sees us as already.

Are You a Hearer Only or are You a Listner
There is a difference between hearing and listening. Do you feel that you know basically all there is to know about being a Christian? Do you see your self the same today as you did yesterday? Do you feel that you have this sin thing under control? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you may be one who is hearing the Word but is not listening to the Word. This message will help you understand what James meant when he said to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

Walking In The Glory Light Of The The Lord
What we trust in, have confidence in and what we expect for blessing in our life are determining factors in how our life will be seen by others as well as well as how fulfilled we will be in our lives. Knowing how to walk in the glory light of the Lord can produce the kind of life Abraham was experiencing when Abimelech remarked that what ever Abraham was doing, God was with him.

Trust Me
God called Noah, Abram and Mary to step beyond themselves to do something that would seem to be absurd. But in absurdity and in the face of impending opposition, God calls them and us to simply trust and obey.

As You Wish
How do we get to the point we can tell God as You wish? We have to nurture our relationship with Jesus, listen carefully so we don't miss the instructions and stop making excuses and put the plan into action. It also requires us to allow God to do His part, to let God see we are serious, and to rejoice in the provisions of God.

Ears to Hear (Mark 4:1-25)
Jesus appeals to us, not simply to hear his word, but to listen, to heed his word. We must allow his word to speak to us and to change us, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers are commanded to hear the word that we may grow as a result.

A Help for Moms
It's not that moms need help - they deserve help and can be helped by the aid of their children. Ephesians 6:1 tells us to obey our parents. Obey means to listen attentively then conform to that instruction. They are also deserving of honor, which is commanded in Scripture. Moms are the glue in the family, the nurturers and encouragers. Obeying and honoring our mothers pleases the Lord.

The New Covenant
Jeremiah wasn't just a bullfrog, he was the weeping prophet of God. Who was this man and why was he weeping? What impact did he have when he was alive? How does this apply today? A Biblical covenant is a binding relationship that God promises to bless and His people promise to obey.

John 6:59-71 The Hard Sayings of Jesus Pt. 2
When Jesus looses the majority of his followers his disciples were grumbling and complaining that the words were too “hard” (“sklaros” hard, offensive, harsh). Christ asks them, “Does this offend you?” The word He used for offend is “skandalizo” (we get our word “scandalous” from this Greek root) and means stumbling block. Jesus isn’t afraid to offend humanity to prove a point. Would our Mega Church Preachers do the same?

Acts 18:1-18 - Preaching in Sin City
Paul’s missionary journey brought him to Corinth, a city with a reputation for immorality that would make Las Vegas blush. Paul first brought the Gospel to the synagogues, where the Jewish people there needed to hear that Jesus was their long-promised Messiah and they were not made right with God by following the Old Testament rules. He then told the Gentiles in Corinth about Jesus and how God had called them to repent of their sinful ways. In the same way God calls us to faith in Christ and to give up both the empty rules that we keep because we think they make us holy and the immoral habits that we practice that displease God and aren’t fitting for a child of God to do.

John 16:1-15 - The Spirit of Conviction
Jesus sends His promised Holy Spirit to help us know Him, and one of the ways that the Holy Spirit helps us is to cause us to feel convicted about our sins through the teachings of the Bible. As painful as this can be, we should not ignore or suppress this conviction but instead accept the rebuke, turn from our sinful behavior, and walk in obedience to Christ.
