Sermons About Obey
The Perfect Vine
In John 15:1-17 Jesus is continuing to give last instructions to his disciples before His crucifixion. In verses 1-11 Jesus talks about abiding in Him, the True Vine. In verses 12-17 Jesus again addresses His command for Christians to love one another, as He has loved us.

Whats Going On
A visitor to Jerusalem aprox. 2000 yrs ago could have witnessed an unusal parade. A procession to honor Jesus, Son of God , King of Kings . He was welcomed by a huge crowd of disciples waving palm branches praising God saying , " Blessed is the king who comes in the name of The Lord." Jesus made some unusual requests to two disciples re- bringing at donkey from Bethany to Him . One clear lesson for us is that when Jesus gives instructions to us , even though puzzling to us, it's always wise to listen and obey our Saviour and Lord . The hymn writer said " Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be happy in jesus than to trust And obey ."

Surrendering in Freedom-Faith - Galatians #14
What makes the Christian faith like no other? The good news of God’s grace is the bold claim that we are accepted by God not because we “follow the rules” or “fit the mold” but because Jesus gave his own life to rescue us. But many of us are still trying to earn God’s love with our performance rather than living in the freedom that Jesus has provided for us. In Galatians, Paul warns against the danger of religious systems that value people on grounds of accomplishment or status or cultural agreement. These things lock away our freedom in the futility of legalism, moral superiority and cultural arrogance. Focusing on either the racial/ethnic/cultural superiority or the moral successes of good works denies the gospel and divides Jesus’ followers. Join us as we explore how God offers us true freedom in Jesus and how the freedom of Christ transforms our hearts, our minds and lives.

Rooted in God's Presence
There is much heart work to be done on ourselves, before we may undertake to work on the hearts of others.

Submit to the Poor and Marginalized
In every culture there are the “widows and the orphansâ€, that is, the helpless, the undefended. Our responsibility is to be among them, to know and be known by them. We must discover ways to genuinely identify with the marginalized.

Go
Christians are called to be explorers, not sightseers. It's inherent in the word GO - which happens to be the last word from Jesus to his followers. It's a word that still directs us today.
