Sermons about Objective
God speaks to us in many ways, like through people, our circumstances, and through prayer. But all of these methods are subjective means that should be filtered through the objective source: scripture. Check out the story of Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch from our Experiencing God Experiment series to see how God spoke to Philip in all of these ways to help save the eunuch.
Objective truth verses subjective truth regarding the Word of God.
Paul transitions from proving our justification by faith in Jesus Christ to the assurance we have of future glory and the power that enables us to live our lives in Christ (i.e. the Holy Spirit). Specifically in verses 1-11, we see that no matter what life throws our way, we can be assured of our future hope in the glory of God. We see that our justification brings multiple blessings and that the love of God is shown to be the greatest act of love in human history. Thus, our response is to boast only in God through the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only object worthy of our devotion and boasting. It is God who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ; and for this we boast ONLY in Him.
