Four Mothers
Every mom will leave a legacy. (Dads, just in case you’re sitting there thinking, “Phew, this is not going to be about me.” Think again. Legacies aren’t just left by moms, legacies are left by parents.) Legacies are bits and pieces of your life that get embedded in the hearts, souls and minds of our children. Some of these bits and pieces are like seeds intentionally planted with the hopes of growing a fruitful yield. Others are like shrapnel of an emotional explosion that are painfully imbedded in our children. Often, both happen without intentionality. You’re invited to hear about the enduring legacies left with and in the children of four mothers of the Bible. It will change and challenge you. No, it will change and challenge your children.

Tearing Down to Lay a Better Foundation
In the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, they always show us how bad the family situation is, then they get the community together to tear down the old house and build a brand new one from the foundation up. There are some things in our families that need to be torn down, that need to be repented of and forgiven. Then, we can build our families on a new and better foundation… the foundation of the Word of God. In the book of Proverbs God gives us the necessary tools for building a blessed and happy home. The text gives three steps for building a home with a firm foundation.
