The God of glory thunders!
A 30 second excerpt from today's message. The recording device didn't pick up the thunder so clearly. It was much more pronounced in person - the entire building LITERALLY shook! During the full audio recording (73 minutes) there is ONLY ONE thunder, perfectly coinciding with God's Word. Mark 16:20, "Then his disciples went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the signs that accompanied it."
Gospel of Mark 3
When caught in the mother of all storms the disciples declare, "don't you care that we are perishing?" Jesus responds by calming the sea and demonstrating his great concern not just for this storm, but also an even greater storm.
The Unity of the New Humanity

As Christians, he reminds us that our past shows us our desperate separation. Yet, there is hope because Jesus is our peace and ends the hostility between us and God as well as between peoples in Christ. Because of this, the peace of Christ creates a unified church.
