Piece of God, or the God of Peace?
Is there a "peace" available to us no matter the circumstances in our lives? Can we actually have an emotional stability in the midst of the storms that will come into our lives? Paul seems to think so. Jesus Christ does as well. In this sermon we will discuss the definition of peace, the counterfeit of peace, the enemy of peace and the recipe for peace in our lives.
Suffering, Confidence and the Effect of the Atonement - 1Peter 3:18c
Christ's Suffering brings Comfort and Confidence- part 2. Jesus earthly and eternal ministry brings sinners: 2. Peace with God Eternally and Transforms us Presently.
Christmas Brings Love
What is the very heart of Christmas, what answers do you think people would give? Probably, many would say presents, decorations, lights, shopping, parades, entertainment and shows. Others might say giving gifts, doing good, being charitable and showing generosity, but to those who understand the reason for the season would say the very heart of Christmas is found in (v.21), “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” That is Christmas! Nothing more, nothing less!
Christmas Brings Peace
Mankind has always cried out for peacel. All of man’s life on earth has been nothing but failed attempts at peace. The Moody Bible Institute reported since the beginning of recorded history, the entire world has been at peace less than eight percent of the time! Out of 3530 years of recorded history, there were only 286 years of peace. During that period, there have been 14,531 wars, large and small, in which 3.6 billion people have been killed. Why can’t man ever achieve peace? Because there will never be peace, true peace, until the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ comes again. Only in Christ will wars cease, only in Christ will nations live in harmony, and only in Christ will the lost, rebellious heart of mankind ever find peace with God.

The truth about peace
This weekend we will be looking at the final chapter in the book of Philippians, at Paul’s final closing words where in a most forthright manner he addresses prayer, anxiety about the future and teaches us how we can gain peace with a calm mind. So be prepared to be challenged on our willingness to hand over our anxieties to God.
A Hope That Is Real - Declaration of (in) Dependence Part 40
Aren’t you tired of looking for hope in places that disappoint you? Romans series part 40
Blessed are the peacemakers...
In a world that so desperately needs to SEE the tangible expressions of the kingdom of God coming to reign...Jesus steps to the "podium" and begins to detail what life in the "here and now" should look like. We've spent our summer weekends digging into the practical characteristics of this new life...and this weekend we deal with a deeply personal, proactive, and sometimes controversial role we are called to play...that of actively "making peace." When we look at Jesus' life, we recognize that He did not just stand by while the world spiraled out of control...He stepped in. He stood between opposing parties and stretched out His arms in reconciliation. He calls us to do the same! Key Passage: Matthew 5:9
