Sermons About Perserverance
Keeping the Faith
As we continue putting myths to the test, we take on the controversial and long debated question, "Can you lose your salvation?" Although this is an important question, it is not necessarily a good question. The better question is this, "Can I know that I am saved?" As we look to scripture, we hope you will be encouraged and challenged to examine your faith in Christ.

The End of the World
In one of the most often misunderstood passages of Mark, Jesus predicts the coming fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple. Jesus warns his disciples about what they are getting into as his witnesses, attempting to help them see the challenge of faithful endurance to the end. In this long passage, Jesus uses the coming destruction of Jerusalem as a way to talk about the future world-wide tribulation and his immanent return.

The Race
The Christian life is often compared to a race... make that a marathon! The starting gun has gone, and it's time to run! Others have run this race before us... but only One has won this race, and we are to keep our eyes focused on Him - Jesus! We may grow weary along the way, but the key to finishing well is discipline. Will you run with us? Key Passage: Hebrews 12:1-13

Going Past Mile 20
Marathon runners tell us that one of the greatest obstacles to finishing a race is mile 20. Many runners refer to mile 20 as half way through the race because of the difficulty in completing the last 6.2 miles. The Christian life requires perseverance because doing the will of God involves times of hardship. However, in our North American culture it tends to be too easy to retreat and live a "safe" Christianity. Are you willing to really get into the race? Key Passage: Hebrews 10:19-39

Beyond ABC's
In this series, we've talked about the "glory" for which we were created. We get a glimpse of it in the opening pages of Genesis and in the final Revelation of John. We were created to rule and to reign along side Jesus! But the path to greatness in the kingdom of God is a path of servant hood and perseverance. It's a path that many miss. As we dive into the most controversial text in Hebrews, I believe it is this inheritance of ruling with Christ that we are in danger of missing. Are you ready to reign? Key Passage: Hebrews 5:11 - 6:12
