Becoming a Person of Worship & Thanksgiving
Throughout October and November we will be studying the book of Nehemiah in a series called "Nehemiah: Becoming a Person of ______." This series will look at different characteristics exemplified by Nehemiah as he rebuilt Jerusalem's walls following the Israelites' Babylonian Exile. This week, Phillip Sandifer, Covenant's director of Worship and Creative Arts, teaches us about becoming a person of worship and thanksgiving. Do we worship today as God intended us to? How did the early church worship and what can we learn from their example? Phillip encourages us to remember, reflect and respond as we become people of worship and thanksgiving.

This week Dave Robinson teaches about becoming a person of burden. Before Nehemiah acted, he allowed God to burden him with a need: the destroyed walls and burned gates of Jerusalem. Studying Nehemiah's example, Dave asks: "what makes you weep and pound the table?" or, "what burden or problem is yours to help solve?"

One of the Greatest of all Miracles
The same Savior that created the universe has the power to save our souls and heal our hurts. There are miracles all over the place, all the time – some that we see and some that we do not see.
