This morning I’m here to tell you that church doesn’t have to be like that, and Colossians 3:15-17 is a great text to remind us about what a Jesus-centered church looks like. What are the marks of a consistently Christian church? Now that is an important question and one worth answering.

Pastor Mark continued asking us to keep Jesus at the center of our lives by having us evaluate where we are using other “spiritual things” in place of Jesus Christ. The problem in the Colossae church was heresy in the form of adding spiritual things to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a similar environment today with “spirituality” being in, but Jesus as the only way to God unacceptable.
