Showing His Glory
Showing His Glory Exodus 7:14-24 The Book of Exodus is primarily about glory. Four words to help put the plagues of Exodus in context: I. Supremacy Living for the glory of God means living to proclaim and declare the supremacy of God in all things. II. Supernatural Living for the glory of God means seeing and declaring the supremacy of God in His supernatural attributes. III. Judgment Living for the glory of God means seeing and declaring the supremacy of God in His righteous judgment. IV. Redemption Living for the glory of God means living to proclaim the supremacy of the cross of Jesus Christ in all things. The Plagues: He Is Lord Over All (Exodus 7 - 10)
In Exodus 5:2 Pharaoh asks, "Who is the LORD." God proceeds to demonstrate his lordship through a series of ten great plagues visited on the nation of Egypt. God is glorious lord over all human authority, over all false gods, and over all of creation. He calls his people to live holy lives set apart unto him.
