KNOWING AND OBEYING THE GREATEST COMMANDMENTS (Mark 12:28-44) 01-18-09
INTRODUCTION: JESUS AND THE TEMPLE. 1st, Jesus Enters the Temple (Mk 11:15ff): ---> Judgment is Foreshadowed; ---> Evil-Unbelieving Hearts are Rebuked ---> A Widow's Heart is Commended. 2nd, Jesus Leaves the Temple (Mk 13:1ff): ---> Judgment and the 2nd Coming are Prophesied. KNOWING THE GREATEST COMMANDMENTS: ---> Love God: with All you are (vs28-33). ---> Love your Neighbor: as yourself (vs31-33). OBEYING THE GREATEST COMMANDMENTS: ---> Know the God we Love: thru the Person of Jesus Christ (vs29, 32-37). ---> Live for the God we Love: for His glory & with All that we have (vs38-44).
