Reverence... A Lifestyle
He calls upon us to live in reverence because “we know” that we are redeemed and “we know” that we were purchased with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The highest motivation for holiness and reverence for God is the love that Jesus Christ has for us. We are called to live in reverence for God because of the “grace that was brought to us” (v. 13) the “Holy One who called us” (v. 15), the “One who judges us impartially” (v. 17) and the “One who redeemed us with His own precious blood” (v. 19). As we consider this incredible truth we are humbled before God and our response is reverence for Him.

Locking up Your Freedom - Galatians #9
What makes the Christian faith like no other? The good news of God’s grace is the bold claim that we are accepted by God not because we “follow the rules” or “fit the mold” but because Jesus gave his own life to rescue us. But many of us are still trying to earn God’s love with our performance rather than living in the freedom that Jesus has provided for us. In Galatians, Paul warns against the danger of religious systems that value people on grounds of accomplishment or status or cultural agreement. These things lock away our freedom in the futility of legalism, moral superiority and cultural arrogance. Focusing on either the racial/ethnic/cultural superiority or the moral successes of good works denies the gospel and divides Jesus’ followers. Join us as we explore how God offers us true freedom in Jesus and how the freedom of Christ transforms our hearts, our minds and lives.

God has uniquely equipped you to do all that he has purposed for you. He has given you position, possessions and passions and placed them in your hand. What will you do with them? Will you dare to let God take the ordinary and make it extraordinary in his hands?

Expecting God To Call Us To Do Great (Hard) Things
Jesus does not discourage us from seeking greatness, but he does radically shift our understanding of what being great is from promoting ourselves to serving others for Christ’s glory.

Why Do We Work?
As the Teacher in Ecclesiastes considers the problems with human labor, we are forced to ask not only, "Why do we work?", but more importantly, "For whom do we work?"

2 Samuel 2:12-3:39 - Promise Rules
David is still waiting on God to fulfill His promise of a kingdom. He has shown humility in inquiring of God (2:1-8) about where the kingdom show start out. Now Abner has set up Ish-bosheth as the king of Judah in a rebellious move. This passage (2:12-3:39) shows the failure of Abner and Joab in their attempts set up a kingdom contrary to God's. We will look at 3 wrong ways to seeking God's kingdom, and then will be encouraged to trust that God's promises will prevail over the desires of men. This will encourage us to always seek God's Kingdom in Chirst first before all others. (Matthew 6:33)
