Sermons about Potential
Apostle Bob shares about knowing where we come from, and who we are, and where we are going. It's not who you think you are that is holding you back, it's who you think you are not that keeps holding you back.
This sermon looks at the power, poison and potential that is the tongue.
God created and it was good. God created people and it was great. As we follow Jesus grow and go we need to do what we were created to do, make disciple makers live in community with others. We celebrate, grow, dig deep and engage. This opens our eyes and to the focused impact we can have in our community. The Holy Spirit fuels the creativity and opens our eyes to the kingdom community that is all around us. Pain comes with gain, but what we once could not see now become clear. God will bless us along the way.
Potential is a very powerful thing. It is safe to say that most people never reach their full potential because they cannot pass the tests. To reach our potential may require that we go through a series of tests to prepare us for what God is going to do in the future. To reach our potential, like Joseph, we simply must be obedient and grow where God wants us to grow.
Pastor David speaks of Jesus example of the mustard seed faith as the way God wants our faith to grow based on His Word.
This weekend Ashwin Ramani speaks to us about how the power of encouragement can change lives. Encouraging people see the potential in people and help them see it for themselves. Who has God placed in your life that you can be an encouragement to?
Gensis states that man was made in the image of God. But do we know what that really means? This teaching explores what it means to be made in God's image, and how that should effect our lives in the coming year.
God designed His people as receptacles for His power and glory. But most modern Christians live way below the potential that that power provides because most of us do not believe that there is anything more than what we have already experienced in life. Thus, we live in a matrix - a world that has been pulled down over our eyes to blind us to the truth of who we are in Christ and the power that is available to us by faith. This teaching endeavors to expose the matrix so that we can discover our potential in Christ.
