Sermons About Praise
God Is ... Worthy
God is worthy. He is worthy of the highest value. He is worthy because of who He is and what He has done. Our response to God's worthiness is the realization that we are not worthy to be on the throne. We can respond and we can worship God.

Greater Than We Can Imagine
Psalm 145 is a psalm of praise (a Hymn Psalm) written by King David to God. David gives five different reasons why God is greater than we can imagine in this psalm: His deeds, compassion, Kingdom, faithful love, and nearness to His people. Our response to God for these things should be like David's response - we should praise God every day!

From the mouths of babes
At Santa Margarita Community we desire to bring beauty to our community through celebrating our life together and blessing them with the presence of Christ in us...the Psalms describe that satisfied life like a tree that drinks its fill. A beautiful and blessed life is a life of praise. Praise requires seeing God's grandeur and God's grace in and sometimes in spite of our circumstances. Praise calls us to value Jesus more than we do anything else this life has to offer.

Beginning our latest series through the book of 1 Peter, Lance calls us to see our living hope of being born again, our inheritance that is kept for us in heaven, and our need to respond to our salvation with praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A Royal Priesthood
My purpose in preaching this passage is to show you this morning what your sacred calling is as a Christian. I also want to free you from the mindset of having to sit and wonder what it is that God has called you to as a ministry. I want you to understand that every Christian has a sacred calling to minister as a New Covenant priest and God has already said what the offering is to be. I also want you to understand that these sacrifices are not additions to the sacrifice of Christ but are proof positive of the radical change in you as the sacrifice of Christ has been applied to you in salvation and made you free to serve the living God with a clear conscience. Next week we will look at our priestly duty toward the church.
