Include God All The Time
It's easy to take God's presence for granted, especially when his blessing is clearly evident in your life; but we do better when we are constantly remembering him.

Praying the Mission
The Christ-Centered Life, part 11: One of the simplest and most effective tools that we have in the mission that we've been called to is praying for open doors for the gospel. Unhindered Prayer
God wants to help us to know how to love our companions, children, and others so our prayers will not be hindered but go through for the lost and the missionary. With the trusting obedient heart, the prayers go right through to the throne. Our behavior and attitude for our neighbors and enemies (those who misunderstand us) determine if our prayers are hindered or not. Preached at a Waiting on God, perhaps in Jeffersonville IN on May 29, 1979.

Saving Pavement
It is sad that we so often hold dear material things that won't last through eternity. Solomon was guilty of accruing exorbitant wealth that he was never able to fully use. Zacharias' Encounter
Many times we come to God with a prayer request expecting him to respond to just that one slice of life. But instead, God answers with a much better and greater idea. Look at the example of Zacharia—he asked for a child, a son, but instead was given John the Baptist who was to prepare the way for the coming Messiah. The greater task that awaits every believer is to participate in God’s work of salvation for mankind. This work is still ongoing and he wants you to play your part in it.

What To Do When You Don't Know What To Do
Nehemiah was a cup bearer for the King of Babylon. He was used by God to help the people of Israel. Nehemiah took the trouble of the Israelites personally, and showed us that where man is weak, God is powerful. He fasted and prayed, and God used him for great things.
