The Best Steak I Ever Ate
The final sermon in our Stewardship of Life series, Pastor Andy challenges the congregation to see themselves as stewards of money and finances rather than owners, and to prioritize their habits and practices accordingly. Taking a look at Matthew 6, listeners are encouraged to think "Kingdom First" in areas of stewardship specifically financially, and allowing God to be faithful with the remaining needs. This sermon was modeled after a sermon by Andy Stanley of North Point Community Church.

Hurried Sickness: Causes and Cures
“RUNNING ON EMPTY†Hurried Sickness: Causes and Cures Scripture: Luke 12:15-21 Mark 6:30-32; 45-46 Hurried sickness is a pattern of going too fast and doing too much for too long that leaves you feeling physically emotionally, relationally, spiritually exhausted and empty. Three illusions that lead to hurried sickness: 1. The quick and easy illusion-things in life should be quick and easy. 2. The illusion of moreism -more stuff will make us more happy. 3. The illusion of control -we are in control of our lives and our future Three confusions that lead to hurried sickness: 1. The urgent overshadows the important. 2. The temporary becomes a substitute for the eternal. 3. Activity replaces intimacy. Four quick and easy steps for conquering hurried sickness: 1. Practice the spiritual discipline of slowing. (Tip: leave earlier). 2. Build rest and recovery time into your schedule (Tip: schedule your priorities). 3. Reduce, discard and simplify. (Tip: turn off the TV). 4. Review your priorities. (Tip: annual retreat for personal reflection).
