When God Allows Brokenness in Our Lives
Jesus was asked of the man born blind if the man or his parents sinned that he was born blind. Jesus answered neither but he was born blind that God may be glorified. Scripture tells us that God is in control and knows what is happening and allows the difficulties in our lives to test our faith and to build his character in us.

Typically people view problems in their lives as being caused by God. Believing they have to react to what God has done and in turn fix the problems themselves. The truth is, that in life, things happen. When things happen, is when God steps in and does his work. God helps people make changes.

Alternate Outlook
When facing Goliath, David's unique perspective allows him to focus on the bigness of God instead of the stature of the giant before him. Compared to God's might, Goliath is puny and weak. So when we question how we could possibly do anything to remedy the problems of the world, we need only to realize that our God is plenty big and plenty strong to defeat the giants we confront.
