Patience in Suffering
Because people are often self-absorbed, the possibility of being taken advantage of financially is very probable. However, as believers in Jesus Christ, we are to not retaliate in anger when defrauded; but instead, be patient on the Lord...knowing that He sees all and knows all and that everyone will reap what they deserve--maybe in this life, but definately at the judgment seat of Christ. Above all, we ought to be in continual prayer for one another--in the good and bad times-- because prayer is the means of receiving God's transforming and healing power.

Incredible Credentials
Do you ever feel that the world is messed up and in all this, that it's hard to imagine that there is a God in control? If Psalm 110 humbled David, it also gave him hope. God promised to build David a house, but clearly stated that God's kingdom would be established by a son of David who was Divine, David's Lord. A perfect kingdom needed a perfect king, and this would be neither David nor Solomon. How much more hope Psalm 110 offered David after his devastating sin with Bathsheba. When David was overcome with guilt and shame, how could he ever conceive of God building an eternal kingdom through him? It could not be, except for the certainty of the promises of God and the assurance that God would provide a perfect king to establish the promised kingdom. His was not the kingdom, but from him the kingdom would come - through his son and his Lord, Messiah. Key Passage: Psalm 110

I'll Be Happy...When I've Done Enough
We all have resumes. What are resumes for? They say to companies and schools, "Here is why you should let me in." The purpose of a resume is to have us go from the outside to being on the inside. The thing is, we all have a resume with God. We have a spiritual resume, filled with accomplishments and works - reasons why God should let us "in." Here, Paul had the best resume possible, and yet he says in the gospel this is all rubbish. What would cause Paul to say something like that? Find out as we study this great passage.

Remember the Goodness of God
We too easily forget how good God has been too us. He has always been faithful to provide for our needs in times of poverty and trial. Dr. Pat Creed preaches from Deuteronomy on the necessity of observing, remembering, and considering the goodness of God. This realization will help us give more sacrificially to missions.

Currents of His Grace
In this message on our Annual Bump-Up Missions Sunday, Dr. Pat Creed preaches on being willing to sacrifice from our resources so that the Gospel can go out around the world. We must ride the currents of God's grace which has caused us to be so blessed. So often we focus on the currency in our pockets instead of the currents of God's grace.
