The Cornerstone
With Christ as our Cornerstone, we are called to live as living stones - characterized by growth, maturity, refinement and renewal - all parts of the transformational work that He is doing in us to make us into the image of the The Cornerstone. Identity #6, Missionary Gifts
Identity: Things to Believe, Things to Be Done Missionary Gifts: How Does the Church Thrive? Ephesians 4:1-16 "Spiritual gifts!" has been the answer to a lot of churchy questions. "How can I enjoy serving people more? How can I get the most out of church? How can I realize my full potential as a Christian?" Oddly, these aren't the questions the Bible is interested in answering. Instead of catering to our interests as consumers, God counteracts our tendency to make his kingdom all about our individual preferences. How does the church reflect the powerful unity in diversity that we see in the Father, Son and Spirit themselves?

Israel should be faithful, not because God is needy, but because God loves them. Malachi proclaims God’s love and the coming of the Son of God, the messenger of a better covenant.

Do they teach another God? Do they teach another Jesus? Do they teach another Gospel? Do they teach another Book? We must be careful to watch out for false teachers.
