Zealous love for God (Psalm 119:113-120)
When we think about commitment to Christ and to the kingdom we so often put it into a context of mediocrity and we see it around us and start to think that is the standard of zeal. The psalmist confronts with our apathy and models for us a man who is sold out for Christ; a man who has set his heart toward things eternal; because he has set his heart toward the Eternal One. In this section the psalmist displays a zealous love and reverence for God! 3 Evidences of a Passionate love for God (1) Zealous Commitment (113-115) (2) Zealous Prayer (116-117) (3) Zealous Fear (118-120)

Sacred Life: Psalm 139.13-16
On Sunday we will be looking at the sensitive issue of abortion. We will see why Scripture prohibits it, but our nation allows it. As a result nearly 1.5 million abortions occur on average each year in the states. Nearly 115,000 occur daily in the world (over 3,000 in the U.S.). It is a much quieter Holocaust and Vietnam war killing the most innocent of lives. We do not want to throw stones, for there is grace and mercy because of the cross of Jesus Christ, but we do want to share the truth that sets us free.

The 23rd Psalm Part 5
The 23rd Psalm if about life—not the popular notion of death and tragedy. It has been referred to as the ‘John 3:16’ of the Old Testament that promises life in abundance. The three objects in verse 5 represent three subheadings that summarize the theme of this study: table – God sustains me oil – He chose me for a purpose cup – I have more than I ever will need This imagery also foreshadows the emblems of communion that point to Christ’s sacrifice when he took on the form of man and became our servant. If our Shepherd sustains us, it is because he has a purpose for us, and will bless us abundantly!

God's Word is a Solid Rock (Psalm 119:89-96)
God's Word is eternal, trustworthy, and a satisfying balm to the soul that trust in it. God's word is settled. The words, theories, and counsel of men fail, but God's word stands unchanging and unbreakable. To the one who trust in His word it is a source of delight that brings satisfaction, hope, and freedom! How could we look anywhere else?
