Rejoicing in the Light - Or - Don't Be a Cockroach
Those who did not accept Jesus loved the darkness. As God's children, we are called to love the light. Walking in the light will purify us and strengthen our fellowship. It helps us not be self-righteous. One creature that loves darkness and hates light is the cockroach. Let's not be cockroaches.
Feasting on Feasts for Three Weeks # 3 - Thanks for God's Bounty
The Feast of Weeks or Pentecost was considered a bookend to the Feast of Unleavened Bread/Passover. This feast celebrated God's bountiful wheat harvest. For a people who relied heavily on the farming industry for food, this was a great and joyous time. God's people offer Him thanks for His providential care. And God commands His people to show the same generosity and care for the most vulnerable.

There is a transition into New Years Resolutions and what they mean and futile many of them are.
