The Purpose of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit
Jesus came to reveal the Father to us. He said when He went away that the Father would send another, like Him, in His Place. That is who the Holy Spirit is. He is sent to give us the power to reveal the Father to the World. His job is to do the things that Jesus did on the earth, but He will only work with us, He will not do the work on His own. Jesus is not going to show up anywhere now and preach or lay hands on people. It’s up to us.

The Purpose of Suffering
It is Gods will to shape us into the image of His son, Jesus Christ. But, how does he accomplish this? James tells us that it begins with the testing of our faith, leads us towards patience, and ultimately brings us to maturity. There are many reasons that we resist such tests and trials, but the bottom line is this: trials are the very things God uses to mold us into the image of Christ—and there is no shortcut. Key Verses: Rom 8:28-29, Php 2:1-8, James 1:2-4, Php 4:11-13, 2Cor 11:23ff, 2Tim 4:6-8

Bouncing Back From A Crisis
The life of Joseph, found in Genesis, supplies us with a biblical example of how to bounce back from a crisis. We discover that doing right things as God defines right and resilience are intricately intertwined. We need to keep trusting God, pursue God's purpose for our lives and we need to let go of our anger. By doing these things when a crisis happens in our lives, we can be resilient and bounce back.

The Main Mission Of The Church
In Luke 24:36-53, Luke recorded the FIVE WAYS Jesus motivated and equipped His disciples to carry on His mission after He left. 1. He convinced them He was real (vv. 36-43) 2. He clarified their message and mission (vv. 44-47) 3. He commissioned them for their mission (v. 48) 4. He covenanted to empower them for their mission (v. 49) 5. He consecrated them for their mission (vv. 50-53)

Why I Am (Still) A Christian, part 2
Philippians 3 Christianity is being maligned today, and not just by the militant atheists. The fact that so many prominent Christian leaders have fallen into sexual, moral, and financial misconduct certainly brings the credibility of Christianity into question. Nehemiah#4 - The Power and Purpose of Prayer
The power and purpose of prayer and intercession are discussed here. Prayer is more than asking God for stuff; it is finding out what is on His heart and offering ourselves to be the answer. This is exemplified by Nehemiah in his inquiring of the people of Judah and then giving himself to be the answer.

A People Of Purpose
The sum of the entire Bible and the entire gospel is God's glory in Christ. As the church, we are the everyday, practical-yet-incredible demonstration of that good news to the world. As such, our lives and every waking moment are part of a larger purpose; because we are God's people, and God's people have purpose.

The plan of God for us
There is a plan for us. God knows the plan. The plan of God will only be gotten by prayer. What He tells us to do, will work, He’ll bring it to pass. Sometimes, we need to seek advice from others on how to put the plan into practice. In His Presence is the plan that you need. We must commit to the plan, only then will He bring it to pass.

The Purpose-Given Life
It was God's great purpose displayed in Moses -- not the greatness of Moses himself -- that taught Moses how to number his days and apply his heart to wisdom. That truth (echoed in New Testament passages such as Philippians 2:13) teaches us that we all have a God-given purpose. Rather than seeking to discover "our purpose in life," we gladly accept "God's purpose in our life" -- to give Him glory and pleasure all of our days.
