Living On Purpose
God didn't save you just so you could go to heaven when you die, but so that you could live a life on mission with God. A great way to keep yourself on track is by doing something each day to help you grow in the four ways Jesus grew as told in Luke 2:52.

Why We Don't Follow
Just as the Prodigal Son refused to listen to his father and marched off to the pig pen, so we too often fail to listen to God. One of the reasons for this is a fear that God is going to demand something of us that we don't want to give up. And in fact, there will be things that God calls us to die to. He may even call us to great sacrifice. But, in the main—what God usually asks us to lay down are the things that destroy us. Mt 15:11ff; Gen 2:17ff; Gen 3; 2Kings 17:1-18; Lk 9:23-24; Mt 8:18-22; Isa 48:17-19

View from the Couch
Jesus started His mission by saying “Come follow...” and ended it by saying “Now go...”. The three years in between were spent showing us how life is meant to be lived. Paul and the apostles in Acts 14 are living this kind of life out. Taking risks, facing opposition – all for Jesus. How about us? How do we live life? Are we cursed with convenience or off the couch living life the way Christ intended?
