Useless Vs. Useful
Talk is cheap. James says that we must do...like Abraham, and Rahab did. Its not enough to know, but we must DO.

The Unlikely - Rahab - Hebrews 11:30-31
Many times we read Bible stories of the great heroes of the faith and hold them to such a high esteem. in fact, you can buy a Moses action figure much like you can buy a G.I. Joe toy! He likes to think that they were "unlikely" men and women that God chose to use to glorify Himself. They were people much like you and me who simply trusted God and He used them significantly. This series is a study through Hebrews 11, examining these "unlikely" men and women of faith.
The Fulfillment of Promise (Joshua)
Joshua points to the gospel of Jesus because humanity has sinned against God like the Canaanite nations, but since God poured out His wrath on His Son, those who believe in Him are saved. After the Israelites enter the land promised to Abraham, God commands her to destroy all the inhabitants. Only those (e.g., Rahab) who have faith in the True God of Israel are spared.
