Raising Kingdom Resources
We are very thankful for the Lord's faithfulness and work at CCPC, especially during the past few years. When we embarked on Vision 1.8 in 2003 we had a hope, but only a hint of what the Lord would do among us. Many of us (600+) are participating in reading The Bible in 90 Days. We just read the account of God's calling Moses to lead His people out of bondage and into the Promised Land. The "vision" was clear, but there were many obstacles to overcome. Some were personal to Moses- As an unproven leader, he was not a good communicator and he had little confidence that he was up to the task. Some of the obstacles were attitudes among the people of Israel - they were very reluctant to undertake what was required to attain a new life. Some of the obstacles were circumstantial. Politically, they were trapped in a system they were powerless to leave. Economically, there was no visible hope of attaining their dreams. God’s plans were not to take the obstacles out of their lives, but to lead them through the obstacles to a better life. As we consider our goal of Raising Kingdom Resources, the Biblical account of God's faithfulness to a people much like us gives us encouragement!
