Sunday School: gospels and parables
How to read the gospels and the parables within.
You Asked for It! Pt. 2
Most Christians have the same question: "How can I know the will of God?" God has made it so easy for us, but so many of us tend to overthink this process. In order to know God's will for your life, you need to set a time to meet with God. Put it on your calendar. Then, be still and worship Him. Pray and read His Word. Then, listen and write! It really is that easy! Start this process today!
God On Mission
The Bible is one unified story. Do you struggle to see that while you are reading each chapter on it's own? In this message, TJ Syroteuk speedily leads us through the story of the scriptures, revealing the underlying plot line, key verses, and parallel stories. We begin in the beginning, where we are introduced to a God who is on a mission. In Genesis 3:15 we learn that humanity is waiting for a "serpent crusher." We then look for the coming serpent crusher, meet him in the person of Jesus, and see how we fit into this glorious story today.
How to Read It
Almost 90% of America owns a Bible. The average American household has at least four Bibles, but half of the population has never read it or has seldom done so. Almost one in five churchgoers say they never read the Bible - essentially the same number who read it every day. So, as a church, we thought it would be a good time to talk about How to Read the Bible.
Tuned In Pt. 2
Hearing God starts with valuing God's voice. It is important to set an appointment with Him. Then, begin your time with God by worshiping Him. Then pray to Him and read the Bible. Pray what is on your heart and find an easy translation of the Bible to read. Finally, listen to what the Spirit tells you and write down what He teaches you. God is waiting to change your life!
Have You Read the Warning Label?
History does have a tendency to repeat itself. What if Christians in America today find themselves in much the same situation which the people of God in Israel found themselves so long ago? What does has God to say to people who live in times of material and military prosperity and find themselves beset with a cancerous complacency? The book of Amos is indeed a book for our time! Join us this week as we begin our series with a message entitled, “The Lion Roars!”
The Revelation of Jesus Christ
We are blessed as we hear and live in light of the unseen realities shown us in Revelation.
